It is estimated that over 500,000 older people a year suffer from some form of abuse. We are the only charity focusing exclusively on these issues, and work to protect, and prevent the abuse of, vulnerable older adults. We provide the UK's only freephone helpline supporting those experiencing or concerned about abuse, training and education to key workers, and also challenge government to make essential changes to the law to protect those at risk of abuse.

Age Concern Scotland works across Scotland to ensure that all older people have their rights upheld, their needs addressed, their voices heard, and choice and control over all aspects of their lives.

We are rooted in local communities throughout Scotland. We campaign on issues of national importance, and provide practical help and information to older people. We work to end the scandal of older people living in poverty, in poor housing and in poor health. We aim to enable older people to be free from prejudice and abuse, and to be fully included in society.
